One of the main improvements is the addition of MHEG 5 that allows the W153D to auto-sort the digital Freeview channels and decodes Digital Text. Other Avtex models stocked include the W193D All in One combined TV/DVD, sucessor to the 19" Widescreen W192D 7 in 1 and the W102D 10" Widescreen. The new Avtex W193D All in 1 has the same improvements as the W153D but with the added advantage of being HD ready with Two HDMI ports. For those who want a high quality TV without the extra features of the 7 / All in 1 models there are the W150T & W102T both with Digital ( Freeview ) & Analogue tuners. All our 12 volt TV's can also be powered from mains electric whilst on hook up or if you wish to dual purpose them and use in the house whilst at home.

Most of us now have the benefit of Freeview in our houses and would like the better picture and sound quality plus the extra channels whilst away in our Motorhome or Caravan. All the TV sets we sell have two tuning systems. A conventional Analogue one and a Digital one for reception of Freeview (DVB-T). Due to the Digital signal strength being a fraction of the Analogue broadcasts it is not available on all camp sites and a High Gain Aerial like our PU-4 is required in most areas. The availability of Freeview will of course become progressively better as we go through the Digital / Analogue switch over throughout the next four years.

For those who want more consistancy in the short term or would like to watch British programmes whilst on holiday abroad a satellite system is worth considering.

Motorhome TV sell a range of satellite equipment from LeisureSat, Maxview, Oyster, Alden, Camos and Triax to name a few. The most popular satellite dish option is a free standing one on a tripod. This gives the flexability to move the tripod and aim the dish around obstacles found on site like trees. We can also supply manually operated fitted dishes and fully automatic ones.
