Avtex 2010 Models

Avtex have completely revised thier whole range for the 2010 season. There are New screen sizes, LED screens and New features. They all now have the capability to record/pause live TV onto a USB memory stick. Below is a brief run down of the 2010 model range:

Avtex L185DR 18.5" 12/24v LED TV/DVD Combi

The L185DR is the replacement to the popular W193DR. This New Avtex model features an LED backlight enabling the L185DR to be Ultra Slim with low power consumption and excellent picture quality. For full details click L185DR

Avtex L185TR 18.5" 12v HD Ready TV

The L185TR is the sister model to the L185DR. It has the same Ultra Slim stylish design, features and specifications as the L185DR TV/DVD but without the built in DVD player. If you're looking for a State of the Art TV and only want to watch live TV look no further: L185TR

Avtex W163DR 16" Widescreen HD Ready TV/DVD

The W163DR is the latest mid-sized Avtex TV / DVD combi and has taken over from the W153D as the most popular 12 volt TV in the Motorhome market. Using a NEW generation of "SONY" LCD panel that gives better than normal vertical viewing angles, particularly important if you intend to use your new Avtex W163DR in a high level cupboard. Avtex W163TR 16" HD Ready 12v TV

The latest Avtex W163TR uses the same cabinet and High Grade SONY LCD screen as the W163DR but is only a TV and does not have a built-in DVD player. Avtex W103D 10.1" LED TV/DVD Player

This is the latest State of the Art 10" widescreen combined 12v TV/DVD with a High Quality LCD screen. This long awaited model now includes the unique to Avtex, AQT (Avtex Quick Tune) one button tuning system. This in conjunction with MHEG-5 that enables Auto-sorting of the Digital Freeview Channels ensures ease of use as well as class leading specification. Freeview for Motorhomes

All the 12v TV's Motorhome-TV sell have Twin Tuning Systems, Digital DVB-T for reception of the "FREEVIEW" channels and a Multi-standard Analogue one for the older type broacasts anywhere in Europe.
The Digital/Analogue switch over is now well under way with the majority of the West side of the UK now totally Digital. For the rest of the UK whilst Freeview is not available on every campsite, the signal strength/quality has improved over the years making it possible to receive Freeview on approximately 3 in 4 campsites that we have stayed at. If you have one of the older "Flying Saucer" Omni-directional type Aerials you will probably need to uprade to a High Gain Directional Aerial for better results. The PU4 flat grid aerial is for pole mounting and the Avtex STH1000 comes with a suction foot making ideal for those who don't like drilling holes in thier Motorcaravan. With Digital (Freeview) Broadcasts being very directional, weaker than Analogue and an "All or nothing" scenario we recommend the use of an in-line signal finder to align your directional aerial befrore you try to tune it. Satellite TV for Motorhomes

The extra channels available and the high quality reception have contributed significantly to the growing numbers of Campers using a Satellite Dish for TV reception in thier Motorhomes. There many different Satellite TV Dishes for use with Motorhomes, some are portable free standing ones, some are fitted in the roof and manually operated and then there are fitted fully automatic satellite dishes. There are now three types of receiver (Digibox), Sky, FREESAT and Free to Air.
